Hitlers Dank Badge Silver. There were a series of these Hitlers Dank commemorative badges issued in the mid 1930’s as a donation receipts which could be worn. They are typically higher quality than normal ‘tinnies’ being coined from high quality metal. This example was issued in Gau Sud Hanover- Braunschweig and depicts a head and shoulders profile of Hitler with an inscription in German which translates as ‘For service to the people’ . Measuring 37mm in diameter, It is die struck from brass with an antiqued silver finish. The reverse has maker’s name in relief. Complete with correct brooch pin.
